Medical Negligence, or clinical negligence as it is sometimes referred to, can be defined as an act or omission in treatment of a patient by a medical professional which deviates from the accepted standard of care.
As patients, we put our trust in medical professionals to provide care that meets reasonable standards of safety, responsibility and efficacy. The vast majority of healthcare professionals meet or exceed these standards, but in some unfortunate cases, the duty of care owed to a patient is breached. We believe that our solicitors can tell at an early stage if a case is worth investigating for the purposes of any compensation claim. If it is not, the victim of medical negligence may have other options for redress, such as making a complaint to the relevant authority or NHS Trust.
Negligence, careless treatment and inattention, can often lead to serious and even life-threatening injuries.
If you, or a member of your family, has been affected by such an act or omission, then please speak one of our experienced solicitors. Andrew McCusker will be happy to try and assist.
